Fertilizing provides trees with the nutrients needed to develop leaves, roots, and wood. A healthy properly fertilized tree is more likely to repel diseases, cope with insect damage and other stresses. Availability of nutrients is often limited in urban environments, providing supplemental nutrients in liquid solution through deep root injection targets tree and shrub roots in the area where most feeder roots are found, in the upper 40cm of soil. Our injection tip penetrates the sod layer and avoids the runoff of top dressing. We use two different formulas a spring feeding which has available nitrogen, for immediate growth, slow release nitrogen, to sustain growth throughout the season, and other macro and micronutrients. It is recommended to promote growth and improve health. Our fall formula has more phosphorus and potassium to promote bud formation, wood production, and root growth helping the tree to harden off for the winter. We recommend this formula to complement the spring feeding in trees under stress or have been damaged.
