Emerald Ash Borer Treatments
The Emerald Ash Borer is an invasive species highly distructive to ash trees.
Female EABs lay eggs on the bark of the tree, often between bark layers and in crevices.
Newly hatched larvae bore through the bark into the tree, feeding under the tree’s bark, and disrupting the flow of water and nutrients within the tree.
In the spring, adult EABs chew D-shaped exit holes through the bark and emerge from the tree, capable of flight and infesting other trees.
The Emerald Asher Borer has effected millions of trees across southwestern Ontario, including Toronto and the GTA.
